Random thoughts while I wait for downloads.
Writing has been working for me. My GYWO goal this year is much more on track and I am likely to nail it before or at the deadline. It has worked well enough I am aware of days when I don't write rather than going to the tracking spreadsheet and discovering days have gone by since I wrote. I am already making plans for next year. I think I will be doing the habit goal again, which works more with my mentality. I think next year I will narrow the definition of what I track as writing and start working on stories or that novel again. Not that RPG and fanfic outlining hasn't been writing.
I've also got a new motto or affirmation; if it's worth doing, it's worth doing poorly. Cause while it may have been done poorly, it was done and I can edit to make it better.
We've two new puppies in the family; Onyx and Sandy. We got Onyx at the start of August and he's an Aussie Doodle (Australian shepherd & poodle), black with tiny white spots on his chin and back toes. He's smart and has a lot of energy. He's also only about 5 months now. Last week we got Sandy, a golden doodle (golden retriever and poodle) and she is a doll. Great temperament, friendly, and a little shit who will steal Onyx's toys from him. She's six months, so Onyx can't bully her and they get along like old friends.
The world may be a load of shit with hints of hope to it, but there is something special about looking at how happy these dogs are and knowing I help keep them happy.
Finished The Boys and I ended up liking it for the most part. There were parts I didn't enjoy but I would/will watch a third season if it gets one. I mean to do a more thorough write up. but that will have to be later. Queen Maeve may have to show up at an All-Skate sometime. I can't decide between jaded_valor or jaded_glory.
Read the first issue of Birds of Prey and I am definitely hooked. I love the 90's noir feel it had.
