Short day of work today as I'm volunteering in my daughter's classroom for Art Vistas. The lesson today is about feelings and how artist portray or communicate them. The exercise is drawing clowns with oil pastels. I swear every year there is a clown exercise and up until this lesson I was able to figure out another subject matter for the kids to draw. This time I don't think i can as the whole point is for them to create facial expressions to show feelings and clowns make it easier to do this.

Last night I was helping the spawn with her homework which included some basic geometry. As a study aid I grabbed some of my old RPG dice so she could count the number of sides of different shapes. The dice fascinated her and this may turn into my running an Avatar: The Last Airbender or How to Train Your Dragon game for her. I'm so proud. = ]

And speaking of Avatar, I got my Christmas gift early as the spawn has been sick for the back couple of weeks, a complete set of Book 3 on DVD! I really need to get the first two books and watch the whole series in order.

And since I started this with a link but never really mentioned Milliways, watching Avatar again is making me tempted to bring Iroh to the Bar. I fear this means I am getting plot fatigue with Ben and my other pups.
