Cleaners update

Got a working title (aka The Cleaners) and a vague start to a plot, or at least the general idea; plus a few events and side plots.

Got a crystalizing picture of the cast. So far I have a middled-aged looking immortal Middle Eastern woman who's gay, a punk black woman in her early20s who's bi, a late 50s man who may be Russian who's gay, and a typical white guy in his 20s who's het but may start questioning that once exposed to the others.

Side cast include a East Asian woman in a position of power and a street kid who is seeming trans to me. Oh, and a manticore seems like it wants to be in there somewhere.

I am liking the shape this story is taking.

Six chapters into A Red Rose Chain and damn is Seanan doesn't know how to draw you in from the first chapter, if not the first page.

I also dropped nearly $30 on comics today which is making me wonder if it might be time to switch to trade waiting since the dang things are so pricy. I need to get away from the $4-5 instant gratification, serial fix. I've also noticed that I've not been to satisfied with the usual and am enjoying the more independent style of Image and Dark Horse. Aside from Catwoman, that is. I should like Spider-Woman, and have enjoyed panels but as a whole, Hopeless is not working for me.
