An odd daily fic this time
The house was empty and he stood in its echoing dimness. His children were all grown and moved on, to college or their new families. His wife had picked up what pieces she had left and moved on to a new life. The furniture was gone, the halls empty with nothing but the stains from old lives left to be cleaned.
When the new family moved in, the little girl would refuse to enter the living room until the day he moved to the corner so this new family had more room to live and fill the empty spaces left. He sighed and waited, hoping angels would come for him soon.
I have no idea what this is but it's all mine for once.
