Brain dump for what I mean to do with Sabine in March and getting her closer to season 01.
So Sabine is with Ketsu and they are having a great time being badass bounty hunters. All is good...or maybe not. I want to write a couple of brief OOM showing how Ketsu is completely mercenary, while Sabine has doubts. Like maybe Sabine can't help but notice people they could be helping but Ketsu shakes her head as they aren't the job.
One scene could be them having a chance to free some slaves as future motivation for Sabine; see the Star Wars Rebels magazine comic with Sabine going on a solo mission to free some slaves after she's joined the crew of the Ghost.
I will have to include some scenes of Ketsu being supportive of Sabine. They were blood sisters, if not more, after all. If I just make Ketsu out as ruthless, that doesn't reflect well on their relationship.
Questing Beast plot
What I want to accomplish, Sabine finding out, or thinking about, what being a warrior means to her.
I'm thinking a general "meet these people" kind of quest. She'll go out and hunt the Questing Beast three times and met someone important to Mandalore with each hunt.
First I am thinking either Darth Maul or Satine Kryze. Not sure what lesson each would offer to be honest. Maul would likely be hate making you stronger. Satine seems contradictory to what I mean to do, so it will likely be Maul. Bo Katan could be another person to use here, especially since Sabine will recognize her.
Second, I am thinking Shae Vizla. Here the lesson is likely being either completely committing to the battle or knowing your enemy, since Shae had a lot of hate for the Jedi.
Lastly, I am thinking Mandalore the First and his lesson will be knowing why you fight; i.e. being honest with yourself.
Revan is tempting to throw in somewhere also, but I am not familiar enough with him and I like groups of three for quests.
After the Questing Beast plot, I will do Ketsu's betrayal of Sabine and Kanan finding her.
