So last night was a busy night and I knew I wouldn't be getting home straight away for dinner, thus I got fast food. This morning I was running a little late for work and did the same. At work just now I found myself feeling down and melancholy, despite having several good threads happening and a heavy but reasonable work load. It made me reflect on my other mornings this week where I ate at home and how every other morning I felt in good humor.
Yet another reason to avoid fast food for me.
Recently I've been having trouble finding a book I was in the mood to listen too. I started the week with The Demon King by Cinda WIlliam Chima and while it was good, it wasn't grabbing my attention. Then I moved onto The Map of the Sky by Felix Palma, which is fun but I'm setting aside as I keep thinking the author is trying to write two different stories instead of one. Now, I am onto Odd Girl Out: The Hidden Culture of Aggression in Girls by Rachel Simmons as a research project for Middle School. A good book so far. I like it as the author is looking at herself as well as the women she interviewed. I'm also realizing my daughter is at the age where my words have serious weight. I need to be more careful in my teasing and the things I say, i.e. she needs me to be a father and not an older brother/friend.
I'm debating on if I should make a creepy doll EP today so that those who want target practice can get their licks in without having to involve other pups. I also am a bit worried about tomorrow as I was unaware I would be taking Her Ladyship to a swim meet and then a summer camp, but I have my Nexus and can tag via email so I should be good for the wrap up.
