Work is remembering that I am paid for a reason. I swear it's rush season or something.

Dark Disciple is out and I am loving it so far, especially Quin's characterization. I'm pleased my combining comic Quin with the Clone Wars TV show Quin is now basically canon. I'm not too far in though, only 5 chapters, so things could change. I already have a new alias for him, Tal Khar, which I think he will bring back since his other one is known to the Empire now.

Tonight I am also starting a Park Tool Bicycle repair and Maintenance class. Looking forward to it as so often the bike repair gets through at me and it'd be nice to be able to actually do it proper like.

I am also finding myself tempted to by at least one clone trooper action figure (though I found a set of three for cheap) and repainting them like the concept art of clone troopers loyal to Ahsoka, like these two.

End of what feels like a long night. Had a great dinner (cooked with Her Ladyship as the primary chief) and just finished all the dishes. Never wrote those fics I mentioned earlier but I did make notes for how I see the story. I hesitate to call it outlining since I have no idea what a story outline looks like, but I feel better about the stories now.

And I tagged some with Fi on a Hank/Charles OOM which I think will be published soon. I might publish but keep tagging as I like them brainstorming or talking. I'll see how I feel in the morning.

So many threads I owe tags to. At the very least, I need to tag a Quinlan/Ibani OOM that was supposed to be a short run but is now a month or so because I keep stalling out. Maybe bringing in padawan Quin will fire up things again.

Well, if I ever decide to bring in Quinlan when he's old, got some great gifs here to use.

I think Quin's fanmix is complete but now I need to make the graphic and I am torn between several covers to use. I also can't seem to layout text for the life of me, so I'll likely let it go until tomorrow. I'm liking it a lot, a few songs have been removed and a few added from the last time I posted about this and it seems perfect to me now.

Working on an AU wherein I have the time and inclination to EP Sabine Wren to a sandbox (cause fuck it, it's just for fun and I can fine tune her once the show starts or I see the trailer on Sunday), write up the next steps to my headcanon for Quin (him starting his own rebellion with Khaleen, Tholme, T'ra Saa, and the kids), finish the Brimstone thread with Shephard (which is the easiest of this list), and work on Hank's threads as well.

I did app a new pup, Isabella Camherst, i.e. Lady Trent from A Natural History of Dragons; because Milliways needs more dragons. Now I need to find a child PB for her and an elderly woman. I've sort of picked Lynn Cohen for the elder ISabella but am not hard set on her. She does seem like an older version of her youthful PB.

ETA: If I stay off of Tumblr, I'd have a better chance at my AU.

Busy at work, nothing of what I wrote earlier which has proved to be simpler than it first looked. But since my creative self is being left hanging, I've been working on a Quin playlist, which I mostly like.

I've now finished the Clone Wars TV series and I have to say it was so good, I want to see the Revenge of the Sith just so I can have closure on the stories. The last two seasons were definitely the more intense for me. I loved the Mandalorian civil war and I am so offended at the Jedi Order in regards to what happened with Ahsoka Tano. I think she and Aasajj Ventress are my favorites of the characters from the series; they definitely seemed like they had the most character development and growth. Both are also still alive as we leave the series so I am tempted to use them with Quinlan's story.

I am a bit confused at to what the point of Yoda's quest at the end of season six was. With what we know of the story post-Clone Wars, it really didn't seem to be that big a deal.

And Quin showed up in a vision of Yoda's! That is where the icon comes from. I also did two screencaps, here and here (in the back behind Mace Windu's left shoulder).

I've been reading a fair bit of Quin's canon lately and in reading the Aayla Secura one shot, I came across some fun moments she and Quin had. Image heavy content behind the cut, but I did try to keep them small, under 1mg each.

Finally finding some words, even if work is demanding my attention. I'm about half-way through the OOM I have in mind for Quin. I'm hopeful I'll be able to finish it today.

Now to tag back with Anton, knock out a few projects, and then see if I have the rest of the OOM in my today or not.

For days after the death of Master Tyvokka, Quinlan tried to meditate and find peace but it was elusive. The young padawan had tried everything; lightsaber forms, silent meditations, moving meditations, even floating meditations--though he always had trouble with that one. All met with inconsistant success. The times he was able to reach peace were few but always the death would cross his mind, disturbing his center and he would experience the visions of his parents death all over again.

Finally, his master, Tholme, gave up trying to lead the boy to peace and instead took him away from the Jedi Temple to yet another mission. Perhaps the boy would find peace in activity.

I know Milliways has a tradition of folks bringing in their pups at a younger age than usual and I think it is great. I've avoided it as I tend to play characters who would remember visiting a magic bar in their childhood. My realization was that I could send Quinlan in as later in his canon he loses his memory so no harm or foul! \o/

Weird random driving thoughts...I should have a pup build a blanket fort by the couches sometime. Of course I don't have any kids on my roster anymore so this is problematic. Wait, Quin is a dad and he could discover the idea of blanket forts and decide it is something to investigate for his son. There's another question, does he only have the one child or does he have another. My heart says he has a girl now too.
