(no subject)

Got a nice 2 mile walk in at lunch today at work which was very nice. I listened to the first part of the Pathfinder Legends audio drama for Rise of the Runelords, Burnt Offerings (link to the drama on Spotify), and it was fun. Nicely produced if skewed towards the dramatic. It seems to be pretty much the first story arc of the comic but with a few changes, which means I don't need to finish the dramas to count myself as having consumed all the media. The voice actress for Merisiel reads with a nice English accent, of course; cause elves are all posh, right? I am so tempted to play her with a Southern accent if I ever get to apping Merisiel somewhere, just to be different than the cliche.

The family visit went pretty well, except there was a big accident that had traffic backed up for something like 20 miles. We got wind of it thanks to my sis and so drove an alternate route which proved pretty nice as it was through parts of the Sierras we were not familiar with. The downside was we were in the car for almost 7 hours, though we did stop by for breaks and food now and then.

A side effect of switching climates from coastal to desert and back again seems to be triggered allergies in the Teen and myself. We keep feeling like our lungs are being squeezed and we can't get a full breath. I did take her to the doc yesterday but her lungs got a seal of approval, so allergies is the best guess at present.

I likely need to order new filters for our air purifiers, as vacuuming the current ones doesn't seem to be doing much.
