So as always I have pups my goblin brain is thinking about playing.

First one has been around a while, but I had mostly forgotten about her until I noticed a new book was out and in rereading canon, I find I really want to play her. I've toyed with the idea of a white hat or at least not-vile and evil necromancer for a while, but never really found one whose canon I wanted to play in and whose personality clicked with me. Then I found Bramble and Blood and met Eve Williams. The world building does leave a lot of questions for me, which I've talked about before, but I love that Eve isn't the bad-ass in a leather jacket Urban Fantasy type. She's more Cordelia (minus the mean girl) than Buffy Summers and that might be fun to play with. The challenge, at least as far as I've seen in test drives is her having to deal with other necromancers that may not have her moral code.

Next up is Traci Thirteen. I love her in the NuDC, post-Flashpoint but at the same time she doesn't seem to be featured in a lot of books. And those she is in she is a supporting character. I do love how her magic ties into the city she is in, and that could be fun to play with. Advantage would be free reign from canon restrictions, which I do honestly get myself tied up in.

Lastly, I keep finding myself thinking about playing Queen Maeve from The Boys. The show itself was over the top for me, but I did love her character arc and it could be fun to explore how she became the jaded person we see at the start of the show. I do find myself thinking of stories and she already has a playlist, which is usually a strong sign of the good head voice. I can't decide on journal names though. It's tempting to recycle "streetwise_hippolyta", but that is mixing in the wrong mythology and I am not so sure she is streetwise. The other names I've thought of were "tarnished_glory" which captures her jaded self and how the world of superheroes is in this canon, or "flick_my_bic" which is a pun-ish sort of name referencing when she dealt with a hostage situation by borrowing a detective's pic pen and throwing it 28 yards into the eye of the gunman to end the stand off. So yeah.

So it was nice to see Ahsoka in live action. They did a good job. It would have been even better if there wasn’t the cloud of transphobia surround Rosario though.
