Well...I'm just back from the ride. 10 miles in 45 minutes. Bah. That's only an average of 12.5 mph. But I did mange to keep pedaling and coasted very little. I counted my pace though and it was only 60 or so. It should be 80-90 rpm.
It will come though.

I think I finally understand what Duane ment by shifting gears to match your pace.
Eat breakfast.
Bring water with you.
Always wear sunscreen.
So here I sit, wet towel on th eback of my neck two Power-Aids and three "nutritional" bars. Total calories = 930
Tushie doesn't hurt. Legs are rubbery but not too rubbery and no soreness. We'll see how any of this changes tomorrow.
