bjornwilde So Ethan traveled across the Southwest, spending time in the New Mexico territory and ultimately ending up in California. By the dialog, it seemed to have been while he was fighting the Indian Wars. He was also aware enough of what happened to Native tribe that were "pacified" and their children.
Additionally, he knew enough Latin and had enough faith to exorcise a demon from Ms. Ives? Granted the Latin could have just been a prayer but this is the first time they've given any indication he knows any Latin. Makes me wonder if he was a priest at one point, or if he is part Native American given what he told Dr. Frankenstein in an earlier scene. Curiouser and curiouser.
