Talking myself off the ledge

Not an actual ledge and no, I am not depressed. Just trying to placate the part of myself that loves making character journals.
OK, three new canons have been taking over my imagination; Witch Craft Works, High School of the Dead, and Noragami. Each has their strengths and flaws (though Noragami has the least flaws, imoho) and each has characters I am strongly drawn to.
Witch Craft Works has Ayaka Kagari and while I've already made an account for her, I think I am going to delete it. I love the canon but don't quite grok the methods to their magic. Still love the reversal in the typical hero/heroine trope. In this case Ayaka is not only the knight protecting the princess (i.e. the male lead), she also is more competent than him, towers over him (stats list her as standing 6'5"), and only needs saving by him after she's taken the brunt of attacks to protect him. Still, without groking the canon mechanics, I'm pretty certain I would just flounder in play. Additionally, Ayaka acts in ways that read as near autistic, if not true autistic, and I worry about messing that up and being offensive.
High School of the Dead has Saeko Busujima and of course I've already made an account. I love her. She is strong, nurturing, blunt, and potentially challenging to write as she is also sadistic (using Bushido to control it yet still hating herself for it) and very traditional as far as male and female roles go (based on Japanese society, of course). This could be fun to challenge within Milliways. She does have to deal with a lot of fanservice in canon but the writers and artists do an amazing job of keeping her powerful even when she is just wearing an apron and thong. Problem with her is that her canon is only about a week long and seems to be in permeant hiatus. Not to mention that she comes from a zombie apocalypse and you can only keep Milliways folks out of it for so long.
Lastly, Noragami has Yato, a forgotten god who is trying to gain popularity while keeping up with his duties to protect mankind from phantoms. He's self-focused, mischievous, noble, obnoxious, cracky, and seems to have a lot of potential. His canon is also fairly contained and broad. Plus, he does wishes/jobs for 5 yen and would bring this practice to Milliways if I even played him there; which would of course leave him open to all sorts of adventures. I am going to finish his canon before moving forward with anything (though I think I am going to claim the journal name I have in mind), I've finished his first series and his second is just starting. Once I'm caught up, I will hit the manga.
And one more thing, with the new app cycle, I will be app'ing Sabien Wren from Star Wars Rebels. I don't think I am going to bring her in until December though since I want to see the episodes which focus on her past and those are coming the next few weeks.
