On Motherland: Fort Salem
Apr. 26th, 2020 02:14 pmI think I am hooked and getting emotionally invested. I am loving that the witches are very much styled after folklore witches--rather than New Age witches (nothing wrong with them)--and they do not have pacts with devils or demons to have their power. It's just something they're born with.
There is also a lot of queer rep, with a front and center protagonist being a wlw. There are also background queer folk and it's just a part of life, no drama or angst because they are gay
The intrigue/mystery is starting to come to the front stage. It is a little too military hard ass for me, but that's pretty much right on the tin.
