Weird random dump of links and images
Jan. 8th, 2008 02:14 pmThis is very cool, Antarctica May Contain "Oasis of Life", and very inspiring for RPG and story ideas.
Been listening to an awesome Post-Punk comp from
rickamortis. He makes truely good compilations, from post punk, to new wave, to cold wave to steam punk. You should check him out, his LJ lists clubs he will be spinning at.
Random fact from Traffic School that made me shudder:
The third collision occurs when the passenger's internal organs strike their skeletons, causing internal injuries.
This I think is the best gamer humor I have read in some time...
Schrodinger's Familiar, from DM of the Rings

And I am all in love with Gail Simone's run on Wonder Woman. Just look at this entrance:

She head butted a Nazi and not as a last ditch attack because she is grappled either.
Gail has finally gotten back to the fact that WW is an Amazon, a warrior who will use her environment, herself or whatever else as a weapon.
Awesome cuteness.

If you have not seen Les Machines de Nantes, you need to go and look: Video, Pictures. These are the same people who made the Little Girl Giant.
Which reminds me, I've been having the DM/RPG crawling in my head again; maybe this time I'll figure out a way to let it out.
I've been thinking of two different campaign ideas, both Steampunk with a heavy pulp bent.
First is Torchwood meets Kolchak: The Night Stalker with a cryptozoological bent.
Second is Flash Gordon meets Edgar Rice Burroughs with a 50s/60s space race feel.
Course I will need time and warm bodies for this.
