Waaaay back in 1984 when I first moved to the SF Bay Area there was no alternative radio station but what would soon become Live 105 had the Modern Music Hour at midnight. One song they played in pretty high rotation was this great song that passes through my brain meats from time to time but I can never remember very much of it.
The song was fairly electronic, with a fair bit of keyboard and drum machine, and the singer was male with a mid range. I could easily see the song in the middle of a set with Visage or Blanc Mange. The melody was very dream like, almost Shoegazer, and the only lyrics I can remember are something like, "Do you ever wake up in the morning and scream out loud"
