May. 21st, 2013 02:01 pm Not sure if I am going to finish Tiger's Curse as two things keep pulling me out of the story. The first I've mentioned, that being white person saves the exotic. Given India's population, I have a hard time believing the only special woman who can break the prince's curse is from Oregon. The second is that the narrator. She speaks quite clearly and is easy to understand but she seems to have trouble emoting. All she seems to manage is tranquil and slightly joyful which doesn't work when your describing the character walking through a corridor filled with pinching beetles ala Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.
I'm going to give it at least a couple more hours at work and then decide if I want to continue for the ride home or switch to The Scar. I hesitate to start The Scar as I've A Game Of Thrones waiting for me at home.

Evil realization I had tonight
May. 21st, 2013 08:39 pm I know Milliways has a tradition of folks bringing in their pups at a younger age than usual and I think it is great. I've avoided it as I tend to play characters who would remember visiting a magic bar in their childhood. My realization was that I could send Quinlan in as later in his canon he loses his memory so no harm or foul! \o/
And isn't he the cutest little padawan?
Note to self, find a TPB for Star Wars: Republic, The Stark Hyperspace War
