Maker's Faire and too much sun

I am burnt. Spent too much time in the sun on Saturday and ended up with a bit of a sunburn. I, also, can't help but wonder if I'm suffering from a touch of heat exposure as well. Drinking lots of clear fluids this mornings but it could also be not enough sleep since I didn't go to bed until late.

Anyway, here are the promised pictures I mentioned yesterday, in case anyone is curious. I've resized them and cropped them so they are about 500 pixels at their largest dimension. I really wish my tablet had a back-facing camera. Definitely something to keep in mind for my next purchase.

(no subject)

 I'm beginning to think today is going to a wash as I'm still recovering from this weekend's sun exposure or my poor sleeping last night. I just can't seem to get my head on straight.

In other news, I tried watching Deadwood last night since I am paying for HBO and I always thought it looked interesting. I couldn't get past 15 for all the uncreative and redundant swearing. I mean it was every sentence and always either f*cker or c*cksuck*r with maybe wh*re thrown in for color. It was bad enough it distracted from the story so I just walked away.

Which lead me to Game of Thrones, which has it's own issues but at least they're not ever minute of the show. I'm up to episode 4 and already noting many weird differences from the first book. Likely will continue with the series as it's not a bad production, glaring flaws aside.

I had this whole head canon/theory about Ethan Chandler but then I looked up one linchpin to the idea and it fell apart. I may run with it anyway so more behind the cut to save you from spoilers.
