Love this series. Great art and interesting SciFi. Lots of playing with cybernetics and how vulnerable they would make the user to software hacks and viruses.
Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries
Another great series, though I don't know that it will last for me. Each episode is wrapped up neatly in itself with little to carry over to the next but I like how subtle the clues are to the mystery. Or it could just me I'm used to how US TV handles mysteries. I do like the found family aspect of the series and I love the time period (late 20s), though I keep forgetting it's set in Australia and not the USA.
Push
I really liked this movie. It was like what Heroes could have been had they not added too many complex bits and drama. The romance seemed out of place and it did suffer from white people saving the world and being the good guys while the Asians and token black guy were bad. Chris Evans did a great job carrying the story, as did Dakota Fanning. Seeing Ming-Na Wen made me snicker as it was almost like an early MCU team-up.
Of course, I also had rewatched 8 Mile which made me image Sam Wilson's days before joining the Air Force engaging in wrap battles on the streets, since Anthony Mackie starred as one of Eminem's antagonists.
Jumper
And this was fun but not as good as Push. Maybe if the paladins had been some clandestine government agency rather than some faux Templar group, it would have worked for me. Still, it was funny seeing Anakin Skywalker, aka Hayden Christensen, being a messed up kid.
