Mar. 10th, 2016 12:16 pmSuddenly...headache! Taken some pain relievers and so I hope in half an hour I'll be good again.
Finished rereading Nimona and damn but I love that book. I wish it wasn't only on volume.
I've made a new journal for Jessica Drew, mostly so I can get away from her angst from the Bendis years. Don't get me wrong, that was some quality drama, but Jess has moved past it and so she is now
spyder_pi (Spy-der from the joke Anya/Spider Girl made in Avengers Assemble and P.I. for private investigator).
I've been spending the last few weeks really looking at my mental and emotional health, focusing mostly on my stress levels. The two most effective habits I've managed to develop is to accept and acknowledge when I am stressed (rather than just white knuckling it) and a daily meditation I've been doing with the Headspace app. Part of acknowledging when I am stressed is to ask a)what is effecting me and b)is there anything I can do about it at the moment. Amazing how hard it is to remember those two questions and amazing how effective they can be when I answer them, even if I can't change the situation at the moment, in reducing my stress.
