I'm still here, I swear
Jun. 30th, 2016 06:37 pm The court case is very interesting, mostly because this is the first time I've seen one in reality. There is a post about it to come, once the case is settled.
I've been reading Star Wars: Aftermath and enjoying it. It does tend to take this side trips down alleys that make me think I need to pay attention to characters only for it to turn out it's just a glimpse at how things are in the galaxy. One of these side trips featured Han Solo and Chewbacca and I want that whole story! I do feel like the author is getting very close to having too many characters. I am not one for Game of Thrones or Wheel of Time level of main characters, though I enjoyed those books. I just kept forgetting who people were.
Also finished Dream Thieves. I love Maggie Stiefvater lyrical prose and she writes such deep characters. I just wish I could give a shit about them for more than the last few chapters. I don't know what it is.
I've been thinking about threads and my play, why I keep dropping out of things, and I think it's because part of me is used to Table top and that RP has to go somewhere. I'm going to try and shift my focus more to "am I enjoying this thread?" rather than, "this thread isn't going anywhere". I'm hoping it will allow for better play on my part.
That said, I seem to be at a point where I haven't had spoons for playing. I've been using the jury duty as an excuse to skip playing, so I think I'm just going to take those days off. Tonight I mean to get to bed at a decent time and then I'm in work tomorrow, so I'll try and tag up then.
Take care folks.
