bjornwilde: (01: Wen Qing (The Untamed))
Work, heat, and smoke from all the fires in my state have conspired to burn me out lately, especially with writing and RPGing. I'm trying to keep up with the threads I currently have, but it's to the point a good day is why I get one response in.

I want to play, I really do. It is just taking a while.

I hope to change it and I'm hopeful at least the work burn out will lessen as I'm nearing the end of transferring a seven language manual from one program which is no longer supported to a new one. It's not a lot of intense work, but it is a lot and it requires focus as I have to get all the content right since this is a medical manual. And there is no import feature for this conversion so it is copy and paste, paragraph by paragraph as I need to match the text formatting and styles. Nearly there though, or at least halfway.

I've been digging into The Untamed and enjoying it a lot; great characters, pretty sets and scenery, amazing costumes, occasional props flubs, and bad monsters in either puppet form or CGI, but best of all is the characters. There is some intrigue going on, but it really is about the characters and how they get along.

One character in particular I am loving, aside from the main Wei Wuxian, is Wen Qing. I'm definitely going to try her out at the next Milliways All Skate and if she sets in, it could lead to the Infirmary being an active plot point again as she's a healer.

Huh, I had meant to talk about her merits and why I love her, but I am burning out and failing on words. I guess I'll have save that for another post.
