bjornwildeI just woke up. Feeling better than yesterday. Had a not so happy migraine or some such.
As I was saying I just woke up. From a dream. An interesting dream...
So I am at a High School. Its a newer High School, like the ones they always show in movies lately. Nice carpet and Brady Bunch-esk decor. Its kind of a 'Freaky Friday' thing except I don't believe I have switched bodies with anyone. Maybe its more of a "She's all that". (I think that was the movie. The one with David Arquette and Drew Barrymore.)
There is this big test and I think I am taking it for someone or was going to take it with someone, my son ?, but we got separated and now I am where the test is and he is not. I decide to take the test for him as he isn't there and it is a big test, like SAT level test. I am not nervous at all, though there is very little time left for the test, in fact I make several bets with his friends that I will be able to finish the test. They are convinced I won't be able too. I get the test, guess at the guys name and student number that I am taking the test for and get started.
First problem is that they take FOREVER to register me for the test. Then the answer cards instructions aren't clear so I have to ask one of the teachers giving the test. Its one of those Number Two fill in the oval things. Then it is so dark I can't read the question book. I reach to turn on a light and the teacher I spoke with earlier says I can't do that but I can go out in the hall where there is more light. I go out there, get all settled and begin the test. At this point there is something like half and hour left of test time and there are something like 1000 or so true or false questions. I can do this no problem I remember thinking.
The first question is "When did the Post-Punk movement start?" The answers are A)1981, B)1985, C)1987, or D)1981. All I can think about is these options aren't early enough. Bauhaus started in 1979...Siouxsie 1978...Do they mean New Wave...1981 seems the best answer. It still seems too late...Wait this is multiple choice not true or false...Still I am relaxed but I am beginning to wonder how I am going to finish the test in time.
Before this I also had a dream. Same High School things before, but I am not taking someone's place I am with their friends. The whole thing has a strong Drama Crowd feel. At least Drama Crowd feel from my perspective, I had never been in or knew anyone in the Drama Crowd. I remember watching/helping/taking part in a Halloween play/show. Kind of a ABC After school/Disney special, but not in a scary way, thing. That's all I remember.
I guess that's what I get for watching "Princess Diaries" after staying up late and then going to bed.
