Okay long ride again today. Which is good, cause I flaked on rides this weekend and yesterday.
The odomiter said I did 21.5 miles. It also said I was on the bike for 2 hours 45 minutes.
This doesn't seem right. I was on the bike for over three hours. And I know the ride I did would have to be well over 21.5 miles as I have riden about half of it and it was 20 miles for that half. Anyway...
Cure got me from Home, to Bascom and Curtner, to Bascom and Lark, and Lark to Vesona Park via the Los Gatos Creel trail.
Creatures got me from Vesona Park to the Lexington Resevoir. Yes the Friggin' Lexington Resevoir. I did let one hill beat me, it was short, maybe 30 feet, and steep, I would say 45 - 50 degrees. But I beat the big hill. That one was maybe an 1/8 or 1/4 of a mile and about 30 degrees or so. I did stop three times, one of which I shouldn't have, but I made it to the top. What was really cool was that when I hit the top of this hill, the resevoir was right there all laid out. The turn around point had snuck up on me. Heh.
Black Tape for a Blue Girl got me back to Vesona Park and then Psychodelic Furs got me home.
My quads are not liking me very much and my tushie is sore.
I did remember to bring water and gatorade. I should have brought a piece of fruit or two to snack on at the resevoir, however.
Saw lots of Crows playing. I think I might bring my binocolars next ride. That way when I see a bird or something I can take a good looksy. It also put the idea in my head to go on a ride to the resevoir at night and do some star watchin' Things should be fairly dark there, it being in a valley and all. Not ideal but do-able.
Ow...My quads really don't like me today...But as much as I am in hurtie I hope I can keep this up. It owuld be nice to get back to that guy I remember from 5 years ago...
