Territory by Emma Bull has my love. I think I really need to explore her writing more. Can anyone think of a western in recent memory that featured an actor with shoulder length brown hair who was mostly respectable and well dressed?
Haven't felt much draw to continue threads I've left open which likely means I need to make a frivolous tag/EP in
mixed_muses or buckle down and tag back whether I feel it or not. ETA: ABSOLUTELY nothing against the folks I'm threading with, I've just been feeling stalled out.
Neil Gaiman is my hero yet again. Not only did he verbally spank a silly political person who called him a pencil necked geek but got the aforementioned political person's mom to make him apologize to Gaiman for name calling.
Started reading the Hundred Thousand Kingdoms by N. K. Jemisin and foresee a new series of books to fall in love with. I'm only a few pages in but it feels very grand with Shakespearian court intrigue and mysteries akin to Gormenghast. Some day I need to read those books as well as I've only seen bits of the TV movies.
Next in my audiobook pile will be The Many Colored Land by Julian May. I loved this book back in the day but never finished the series and so I am looking forward to returning to it. Unfortunately the first book seems to be the only one in audiobook form.
Week end is shaping up to be fun. Saturday night I might go see Thor and then Sunday it's looking like a trip to the beach to celebrate M-Day.
Getting my food consumption/eating habits back under moderation, now I just need to start exercising again. I need to remember lunch time walks are good things.
