The good, the bad

Starting with a good first, discovered a new series that I am liking so far, Tiger's Curse by Colleen Houck. Seems aimed as a paranormal romance but so far things are very grounded. So far nothing supernatural has happened but I am only about halfway through the second CD. I am looking forward to it since it seems to focus on Indian mythology rather than the Western European.
The bad...my daughter discovered yesterday that she and three of her friends are the victims of a pathetic attempt at cyber-bullying. Teachers have been informed, the video on Vine* has been taken down and the parent of the bully is aware now but I have to give my wife props. Before she got involved, it seems like only one teacher was aware of it, the one who got the video taken down but the parent wasn't aware or hadn't been told yet. My wife, politely but firmly expressed her concern over this last night at an after school event when she discovered the bully still was taking videos. My daughter's teacher than got involved and confiscated the iPhone and told the bully to have her parent come talk to him to get it back. Her Ladyship seems blasé about the whole thing but I fear friends of the bully may try and give her flack today. I will be watching this like a hawk for a while. I just hope the bully learned "don't do this" rather than "hide it better next time".
