The rope was secure but they were left dangling over the valley below, a good hundred foot drop or so. Still she could make out details and saw with wonder the nymphs bathing below.

"Don't look!" She yelled at William in alarm, reaching over to push his hat down.

Aww, this is wonderful. I can picture it.

I think I may need to rewrite this with them falling off a cliff into the lake the nymphs are bathing in now that I think about it.

I love this idea and encourage it. Since there will be awkward and adorable.

William had tried to warn her since they hadn't looked properly for traps but she had grabbed the diadem of Artemis anyway. Now they were falling down a shoot and out the face of a cliff. With a splash that knocked the wind out of them, they landed in a lake. Sputtering, they both surfaced but Thalia saw the bathing nymphs first.

"Don't look!" She screamed and shoved his head under the water. It was for his own good...really.

The great Nevada sea was calm after the heated battle as the Dread Pirate Nolan met the eyes of the little girl, Irathient in looks. The scars and chains of slavery were about her wrists and her neck so he ordered his men to free her.

"Where are you parents child?" He asked but the child pointed to the captain of the seized ship whose body was cooling in the harsh sun. "Is there somewhere we can take you? Relatives?"

"I want to be a pirate like you!" She said with fire.

"Captain," Hank said into the intercom as he swung around a pipe and ducked through a access panel. "I endeavor to avoid telling you how to pilot the ship, but if you could perhaps avoid hitting the asteroids, I would be greatly indebted to you. Repairing the drive is a delicate business at the best of times."
