Just open damnit!
Nov. 23rd, 2013 06:55 am Sitting in a chilly 40°F (go ahead and laugh at me snow folks), waiting for the first swim meet of the season to start. Doing my best not to be grumpy at the popup that refuses to open by my efforts alone. I know this is how it's designed but my fatherly "I'll set up camp all by myself before the family gets here" pride is wounded.
The hiatus from RPG has uncovered an awkward truth, I am more productive and less surly when given more work when my head is not chanting, "You're ignoring threads." I'm not ready to completely give up RPG but I do need to figure out a balance; like maybe 15 minutes of Milliways per hour or after finishing a project.

Date: 2013-11-23 06:52 pm (UTC)I hope that works and I'm glad you liked Strange and Norrell. I recommend reading her book of short stories, Ladies of Grace Adieu, same feel but tighter pacing.

Date: 2013-11-24 03:23 am (UTC)I will add her name to my to read list. I am going to Perks of a Wallflower and then Fault of Our Stars next. I do still have about 5-6 hours of Strange & Norrell, so I'm not quite done yet. I'm t the point where it seems Strange has given up all sense of propriety and is going after his wife.
