 So as part of a program with work, they were giving out a FitBit for free if you sign up. I figured what the hay since I am already working on getting healthier and let me say I love this thing. I've got the FitBit One (warning for Flash in the link) which tracks so much; # of steps, # of floors, milage, calories burnt, amount of time most active, sleep patterns and amount of sleep, heck it even has a silent alarm you can set to get up in the morning. I am sure some of the data is a little fuzzy, especially the calories burnt since it only goes with age, weight and height to calculate, but it's still pretty good and fun if you like looking at data. I think it works by motion since it isn't attached to a heart monitor, thus the fuzzy numbers with calories and most active time.

Today I did my first 10,000 steps (the daily goal for the program) and I am somewhat beat. I think I need to try and get up from my deck and walk about more during the day so I don't need to compress 4,000 steps into the evening.

Also, I've been watching Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes and loving it. I've one episode left of the first season and I am having all the Hank Pym feels. I mentioned this on Tumblr but I just love how he is competent and on a par with Stark when it comes to science. I also love his more pacifist philosophy, though I do worry what they are going to do with him next season since we all know his comic history.
