Feb. 19th, 2014 06:02 pmI picked up volumes one and two of the Essential Spider-Woman and I've noticed a few things:
- Art seems to focus on the hips and thighs much like art nowadays focuses on the breasts and butt.
- The art is very dynamic and topsyturvey. I almost expect the characters to fall out of the panels.
- Spider-Woman's first exposure to super heroes was Ben Grimm.
- Her first couple of adventures involved HYDRA but her third went straight to Marvel's mystical realm.
- The exposition so far isn't too painful but it is so much more than modern comics include.
