I have never understood this. Do they name there arms? Why not? If you name one part of your body why not another? Are there men who call their hands "Rosey" on a regular basis?
It is part of you, why name it separately?
If you think about it, its dangerous. Names give power. If you name something it gains individuality. If you refer to it, talk to it, it can gain its own personality. It can talk back. It can have a stronger influence.
