bjornwilde Today's challenge seems to be deciding what needs to be in the canon write up and what doesn't. Since I am writing up for a secondary character, her story doesn't need as much information as the overall story the author is telling. For instance, Andrea doesn't need to know that Curran's first law as alpha for the Pack was to outlaw the Midnight Games for any shapeshifter. She'd know this but she's not involved with shapeshifter politics and so the tension of whether Curran finds out some of his people are involved with the Games isn't there.
I'm glad I realized this as it makes Andrea's posts less of an info dump but at the same time, I can't help but feel I am cheating the story. Then again, if I do this right, it will leave elements of the story fresh for anyone who likes what I've written and decide to go read the books for themselves.
