 I am so glad I gave The Raven Boys another chance. Maggie Stiefvater is quickly becoming a new favorite author of mine.

She's amazing. I highly recommend The Scorpio Races as I read that first and then The Raven Boys and now want to read all of her books. I love how she writes teenagers and places that feel real and the magic is the sort that's complicated and feels true.

Oh, I will definitely be checking out all of her books. She reminds me of the offspring of Steven King and Ray Bradbury, or maybe Anne Rice and Ray Bradbury. I don't know how I was able to set The Raven Boys aside before, but then again i did the same thing with The Daughter of Smoke and Bone. I just had to be in the right mood I guess.

The narrator for Raven Boys is really good also.

And I am now laughing at myself for not even realizing I was reading two different books by her at the same time; Raven Boys and Shiver.

She reminds me of Charles de Lint and Emma Bull, fantasy with such a strong sense of place.

I still haven't read The Daughter of Smoke and Bone but its on my list. So many books to read, not enough time.
