So since my plotting brain kept me awake last night and I'd hate to lose all it came up with, I'm going to try and get some things down. Warning for spoilers for X-Men First Class, Knights of Sidonia, and my head canon for Sabine Wren (which is based on vague references to her past from canon).

Did I mention spoilers?

So the scenes I think I want to do from X-Men: First Class
- Raven and Hank in the lab, either the brief scene we get in the movie or expanding it a bit.
- Their fight over the serum.
- Hank reflecting on who he is/Hanger scene (I might have Hank come into Milliways for a week here just to get used to moving in his new body.
- Highlights from the fight at Cuba.
- Picking up the pieces (maybe Hank reflecting on things Raven said?)

Knights of Sidonia
OK. I screwed up their canon write up and combined two different scenes which aren't even within days of each other. I need to accept that and move on. No one is going to yell at me for going back and fixed the error. I do not have Dick Vernon throwing the horns in my face. Also keep in mind the challenges your canon gives you. Remember how easy it is to mistake characters due to the stylized animation, i.e. some scenes you thought were Izana were actually Hoshijiro. Also remember to watch two episodes since they sort of leapfrog over each other, i.e. the story tellign isn't liner but loops with flashbacks to things that happened the episode before. 

So scenes I need to do:
- Izana and Nagate in the submersible when Yuhata's brother gets the call with Yuhata yelling at him, being sure to show how cavalier they are being about killing the gauna.
- The disaster that is the combat with the gauna.
- Gravity emergency
- Listening to Nagate's sortie to recover the kabisashi

Pre-canon from Star Wars Rebels
- Detention (already written)
- Failed rumor collecting (show her guardian as nice but very manipulative)
- Mandalorian fight club
- Missing friends
- Slicing for fun guilt trips
- Escaping to a new life

All this stuff with Hank looks great. I think with Charles though I'm not going to do too much of Cuba, but focus more on him recovering and thinking over. So together we could do some OOMs of their two thoughts to what happens without going completely over canon. How would that work? Also would you like a Quentin for Sabine?

TBH, I'm doubtful about if I really want to do the fight scene or the rift at the beach. A post-injury with Hank screaming inside cause no one is treating Charles like he has a spinal injury is tempting but I think it'd just be noise and not plot.

I also think I will combine the lab scene with Raven and the bedroom scene in one post.

Quentin would be great! Though I am about to leave for errands. Should be back later though.

Me neither, they're such powerful scenes and so visual that I think it'd be hard to do justice to them in words. Instead the after I think will be more powerful. If you want an idea of what I'm thinking about, there's an OOM in progress in Charles' journal that's him recovering in a hospital.

I like the OOM you've written so far for Charles. =)

I've also taken a stab at a first pass for Hank's transformation in his journal. I'm going to write up the next couple of bits in the next few days, or so I hope. Likely I'm just going to look over the ficlets I had written way long ago and see if any of those can work. I think the Hanger and then post-Cuba will be all I'll cover.

For post-Cuban, I am thinking Hank stays inside a room unless Charles is awake and able to do a mental illusion? I assume we're thinking they got a ride back with the Navy?

Ficlets can be a good way to go as you've written some great things about his thoughts. Yeah, Moira gets them out and then Charles has the money to end up in some private hospital not far from where he lives. I'm not worrying too much about the details of how and where, the home base is going to be the mansion and between them, Moira, Sean and Alex, they can make something happen.

I'm glad you like it. I'm going to have a bit more on him thinking about visits and all, but mainly its him in his own head.
