I think I've given up on Farideh. I like her concept but she's got 6 novels of canon and that's a lot. Also, she's not a perfect fit for what I was looking for. I need things much more causal for my play.
I am still entertaining the idea of Marisiel and she seems quite perfect for casual play without requiring too many canon write ups. I can easily see her just walking into bar at random without needing her story being told, unless she were to share in thread.
From the Heir of Ash trilogy, there is another character I'm thinking of, but I'm not sure if it's due to his personality or his "class". He's the artificer, which means he is something like a magic engineer. I also like his world a lot and can see potential for fun times. I will finish the third book before doing anything, and I will need a PB, but it has a lot of potential for in bar fun, especially for weird plots as magical experiments go wrong.
I swear I had more I wanted to write but it escapes me now.
