I've now lost 20 pounds and this is a good thing. I'd like to lose even more, but I will take things as I can. I'm trying to focus more on improving my health and seeing the scale number as a sign of that improvement but not the goal. If that makes sense.

So far the only thing I've really changed is aiming for low carbs and avoiding processed carbs. Also low fat. Which is leaving me with high protein and lots of green veggies, which I've noticed leaves me less hungry and more energy. I also kind of feel like my mind might be clearer? I don't know.

In other news, I seem to have moved beyond having much tolerance for white male fantasies in regards to my fiction consumption. I tried reading Spellmonger and had to give it up after an hour or so of play. Within two chapters the main character showed an elitist attitude towards his neighbors, the author showed his racism by having raiding goblins be "dark of skin and hairy", and there was so much exposition...so much. It felt like every other paragraph at times. Also, it was not original in anyway. Like generic fantasy tropes galore. It was not to my tastes and I returned it.
