Mar. 28th, 2020 09:15 pmI'm just about finished with The Witcher TV series and I have found it to be mostly enjoyable.
The multiple timelines have confused me, in fact it wasn't until ep 03 that I realized there were different times being show. Would it really have been so hard to have a floating title card saying what time the focus is in?
I also am not comfortable with Yennifer's I MUST HAVE A CHILD! drive. It reeks too much of the trope/POV that having a child is the most fulling thing in a woman's life.
Beyond that, I am enjoying it. I LOVE Gerald's personality. I love Jaskier. I love Ciri. And I love Yennifer. I love how they show magic and I love the "monsters" they just stumble across out in the wilds. I also love that Gerald is more often than not on the side of "We don't have to kill it."
I did not expect so much politics to be honest, but it is working for me.
Only one more episode to go!
