Mar. 20th, 2007 10:56 amBack to the work out reports...
30 minutes for 6.14 miles (9.88 km). 15 minutes was on an exercise bike which is why the distance is so high. Those damn things kick mah tushie.
25 minutes for 6 miles (9.65 km), 15 minutes on the bike again. I had to break off early because I forgot to bring my work clothes with me and had to drive back home to get them. Tomorrow I think I will try and get 30 minutes on the Bike; it definitely ramps my hearth rate up.
I so need to step up the work outs or my 1on1 challenge will be FUBARed.
In other news, !
After close to 3 years of faithful service, my commute beast has worn out so
zoe_me and I bought a new-ish car on the weekend, a 2003 Honda Civic Hybrid with only 58k miles on it and driving it is a dream! This is the first time I have driven a car that has less than 100k miles on it.
It is a dream to drive. It floats...no I swear it does. It is so quiet if I wasn't the one turning the key I don't think I would notice it starting.
Of course the scarey thing is that now we have a car that we won't own until 2013, when I will be 45, Katie will be close to Jr. High and the car will have lots of milage; assuming I stay at my current job and don't get another closer to home. In addition to the loan intimidation will be the upkeep of the car. Honda's are reputed to be reliable, but I am to keep the value of the car, it will require regular visits to the shop and with how far I commute, the visits will be often. I am sure the visits won't be cheap either.
And I am truely a geek. I have named the car Hermione. I swear it was because I was trying to think of a female version of Hermes and not because of Harry Potter but Hermione is my favorite character of the bunch.
The icon has no relevance, it's just new and I like it. = ]
