Dec. 26th, 2007 10:06 amYou know, I never would have thought that "The Island of Misfit Toys" (from Rodoph the Red Nosed Raindeer) could be turned into a dirge but The Mirror Reveals managed it.
Goth bands should not be allowed to do Cristmas songs unless closely supervised.
Faith and Disease's cover of "Silver and Gold" (from Rudolph the Red NOsed Raindeer also) is a good cover. It is so much better sung than Bur Ives' original; very good, very crooner goth and not a dirge. It's on the CD Excelsis: Vol. 2.
But "the Island of Misfit Toys" as a dirge is just wrong!
