Yesterday on Tumblr I posted this bit of dialog I had with my wife regarding my daughter's Halloween costume the night before, which amused me: All well and good but then the author of Captain Marvel saw it, liked it and reblogged it. It's now up to 52 likes and several reblog. My inner 12 year old, who is convinced no one likes him, is squeeing. I've also gained several new followers and I feel like I should post something real and not just my typical reblogs.
So last night my wife came home with some suggestions for my daughters Halloween costume from her coworkers (who are into comics while she is not). One of them apparently ”corrected” her on my suggestion of Captain Marvel to Ms. Marvel. I replied, with no small amount of conviction, “She’s Captain Marvel now.” to my poor wife’s shock. I then ranted for a bit ultimately giving the example, “It’s like calling Hilary Clinton the former First Lady despite her having been a Senator and Secretary of State.”
I did apologize to my wife for going off the rails a bit though.
