Nov. 13th, 2017 10:32 am Pondering colors and Bunnhilde's white markings in Thor: Ragnarok and I came across this essay on the meaning of white in Norse culture. Which is causing odd ideas in my head for why Brunnhilde chose that color for her face paint.
And yes, I realize this is likely looking too deep into things. I also just realized I should look at what it means to the Maori, since Waiki used a lot of Maori elements and colors in the film.
Well, this says white is the physical world, and purity, harmony, enlightenment, and balance. No clues there, though I could make a reach for something very meta with the past aspects of Asgard revealed in the film. (Trying to be vague on purpose to avoid spoilers.)
