Retooling my writing goal for the year. I'm still committed to writing 240 days this year and only counting journaling or original writing, with a minimum of 100 words a session. Stretch goal will be to use journaling as a warm up to original writing. Again, my year is going well so far but I am learning that my life is nutty enough I can't depend on a perfect time to be left alone to write so I need to grab time where I can.
Had a good walk with the dogs this morning. I left a little later so the park with the lake would be open. I'm glad I did as it was beautiful. The dogs did turn into feral goblins at the end of the walk, play fighting with each other and winding me in the leash. I am ashamed to admit I lost my temped and yelled. Yes it was frustrating and nerve-wracking, two large dogs who can easily knock me over fighting around me with big sharp teeth, but they are still kids. I need to remember this and redirect the behaviors rather than freaking out.
I'm having the urge to read the old Shadowrun novels. Not sure why. I mean I love the world of the RPG but never read the books, and from what little research into the books I did, the main characters are all men, but the first book was only a buck on Kindle so what the hay. Might have fun regardless. I mean all the characters can't be guys right?
I'm also looking into checking out aChinese Korean fantasy drama called Arthdal Chronicles based entirely on some fan art I saw on Tumblr and the trailer.
ETA: Thanks Genarti for the correction on where Arthdal was made. And speaking of Korean goodness, I am so looking forward to Space Sweepers which reads to me like a mix of FireFly and The Expanse.
