Death march on a sunny day
Jul. 16th, 2011 05:30 pmSo bright ol' me decided that taking to two wee ones to the local grocery store wouldn't be a big issue. It's less than a mile away and I have a stroller for the wee-est. We could stop by the local elementary school on the way and they can play for a bit instead of watching TV or playing computer games.
Two frickin' hours later we make it back home. We didn't even play at the school very long as the eldest wee one needed to answer the call of nature. We did stop by a local mom and pop burger joint for shakes as I am a sucker and gave into the cries of ice cream ice cream! I would have just bought ice cream at the grocery store but it would have melted by the time we got home.
The person who took our order at the burger joint had a name tag that read, "GLaDIS" I kid you not. I wish I had thought to ask if they had cake at the time instead of ten minutes after.
And now to get busy with the Honey-DO list.
ETA: Oh and the eldest got a mini light sabre that lights up for free from a garage sale we passed by.
