The Saracen Knight has kept to himself for centuries, fighting for neither the Dark Elders nor their more humani friendly kin. Many think this is because Palamedes has lost the will to fight, others because he serves some sort of balance while still others think he has some agenda of his own. The truth is far simplier and like most things, far more complex. The knight has been fighting for millenia. He fought for Arthur, he fought for Charlemagne, he fought for Richard and countless others. He's fought for duty, for ideals, for politics, for love and for friendship. The result has always been the same, innocent lives lost. He has seen crusades, civil wars, jihads and more. Quite simply he is tired of war.
Nowadays he no longer fights for ideologies or noble ideals. Now he fights for friends and family alone.
I wish I could keep my daughter's music out of my head! =)
Also, for Niten, I have two journal names in mind, hakesei (which I am hoping reads as "brush saint") and kensei_geijutsuka (which is "sword saint artist"). While Niten is known as The Swordsman, he considers himself an artist.
