 The Line Is Drawn is a great exercise for artists. The idea is to mash-up comics with other things, 80s, 70s cartoons, or classic movies as in this weeks offering.

Also, June looks to be Beast month or Project Rooftop which encourages artists to redesign classic heroes and teams.
