Comic haul
May. 15th, 2013 12:46 pmAvengers Assemble - The beginning of the mini event, The Enemy Within. Awesome pacing and intriguing story, I almost wish we didn't already know someone was messing with Carol's head as it would put the story on the same shelf with Philip K. Dick. Getting more used to Filipe Andrade's art but I'm still not the biggest fan. LOVED Jessica in this. Cracking jokes and trying her best to distract her BFF from her troubles.
Batwoman - Finally the pacing of this comic is more to my comfort level. I am liking that things are moving forward and Kate and her family are coming back together. Won't say more. Art is nice but not as nice as WIlliams.
Age of Ultron - Fun but I'm getting a little tired of the series. It's hard to be engaged in the series since I know it has little effect on the MU at large though the House of Ideas have been claiming it will. I think seeing Ben resting on a bed in the sleeping quarters in issue one or two, then having him seemingly killed in the F4 issue tie-in, destroyed any credibility that this is nothing more than an AU. Also, the fact that later issues F4 issues have progressed as if nothing has happened.
FF - Still fun and touching with a surprise tie into the shenanigans in F4. I love that Fraction is still managing to tie these two series together.
