bjornwilde Well I have the laptop and so now I work to convince myself I don't need another head voice. Surprise, surprise.
Sarah Beauhall herself. Kick ass woman who is not only a blacksmith, she is also an SCA fighter whose prefered weapons are a pair of warhammers. She is a lesbian and is still working on being public and comfortable about it. I love her because she has doubts but still gets things done. Downside, I don't know much about blacksmithing. I'm also frankly scared about the amount of Norse mythology within the Bar at the moment as Sarah is chosen by Woden, bears his runes on her temple as well as being marked by the sword Gram which she reforged which also happens to be the sword which killed Fafnir. I'm also on the fence since she is a hot head and I don't know that I can play that well (having failed to do so with Ben or Thalia). With being marked by Woden and Gram, she is also a berzerker. Plus, P!nk works perfectly as a PB. Journal name ideas: pair-a-docs, mender-maker, gram-mender, dragon-bane.
Frederick Sawyer. A dragon who rules the Portland area. A shape shifter like all dragons in this canon, he has built a public persona of a filthy rich philanthropist but is truly more of a David Xanatos type character. He is power and privilege and I would be curious to see him off balance with the gods in Milliways as the dragons in this canon killed the gods and took over. I can easily see him paying Hannibal for his special cuisine and attempting all sorts of power plays within Milliways. And it is hard to resist Ian McShane as a PB. And well, dragon.
Nidhogg, the ancient dragon that gnaws on the roots of Yggdrasil. Very old dragon who, at least at the start of the series suffers from dementia. She rules the Seattle area and seems to have been the start of the Dragon/God war, thanks to Loki's taunting. Again, the amount of Norse gods present worries me, especially with her as she is likely to burst into dragon form the first time she sees Loki or Thor, not to mention I worry of their Mun's writing as it is so much better than mine. Still, she appeals as she is ancient, and kind in her own way. A pup who is not always in their right mind could be interesting to play as well. PB here is Maila Nurmi. Date: 2013-06-23 04:42 am (UTC)I really like the canon as it is very Wagnerian, with the gods being hidden. In fact Woden is the only one to date who has had any interactions with characters and it is unclear if he was actually there or merely possessing a street person. Of course the gods are supposed to be dead but there is mention of the dragons killing them at any rumor of a rebirth.
