Oy! Work has been nothing but tsunami after tsunami. I know I am not exaggerating as upper management has made noises about hiring an outside vendor to help with one of the projects. Which of course is sending some of us into fits of paranoia. Myself, I just wonder if it doesn't make more sense to open up a frigging head count for another production artist cause the work is obviously there if you are looking to hire an outside vendor to do the work. But I am just a gear. (grumble)

I wish I could just wiggle my fingers and get all my tags done while I work. Of course, I am sort of wiggling them now and making words so in theory the tagging could happen. Better yet, if I could just do a voice recognition kind of thing and dictate my tags. Who am I kidding, I am burnt from work. If I wasn't, I'd sneak the tags in.

Still reeling from the finale of Defiance and having to wait an entire year. What the shtako, Syfy. I don't want to say much but this finale was very Buffy.

Lately, I've been having the urge to play a non-human. I know I have Quinlan who is a Kiffar but there isn't really much difference.

So in my non-human corner I have:
Nidhogg from Norse mythology and the Sara Beauhall series. Ancient dragon with a touch of dementia. She is interesting in that she doesn't really care about humans nor has human emotions. I think the only way I could play her however is if I have a failsafe person to act as a calming agent in case she ever freaked out. Having a dragon suddenly burst from a little old lady within the bar would be bad form and she's touched enough it could happen. I think I'll stick to Sandboxes until I can think of the failsafe.

Doctor Meh Yewll from Defiance. I love her snark and her history from the last few episodes. Characters striving for redemption while hiding their past always intrigue me. I'd be interested in sees her interact with Mordin Solus. Disadvantage is I really know nothing about medicine.

In the human corner:
Speaking of Defiance, after the finale Nolan is back in full force. I doubt I need to explain why. Still, no nonsense lawkeeper who goes for the shortest path in life sort of appeals to me. Disadvantage is having to wait a year for new canon. Of course with how slow I write canon OOMs, that year could be a good thing.

Kate Kane, lady why can't I quite you? The little bits of play I've done in Dear Mun and Panfandom Sandbox with Deb's Nightwing are definitely gelling what I did wrong before with Kate. She is not as open as I was having her be in Milliways before. Yes she is flirty and friendly in costume but she doesn't give away personal intel and doesn't appear weak, even if she is feeling it. I think if I do decide to bring her back to Milliways, I may ask for a reset and not bother with her as Kate until I firmly have her as Batwoman.

And the latest new voice, Dr. Strange. If I bring him in, it'd be from after he lost the mantle of Sorcerer Supreme or from Season One before he earned the title. I've always loved Strangle and I like the angle of him not being quite so godlike yet still doing what needs to be done. I do worry about him being a deus ex machina within Bar but we do have several other personages who are equally as powerful.

Lastly, I think I may have introduced a younger friend to Mojo Nixon and Skid Roper's Elvis Is Everywhere. I don't know that I could say I am sorry.
