Media report
Oct. 10th, 2013 03:08 pm Since it keeps occurring to me and I am waiting for a file to print...
I'm getting doubtful of Fearless Defenders. Last issue was good. Mostly. I didn't like the slander against Stephen Strange but overall it was good. This issue I've only read the recap page and noticed it wasn't a recap but a poor excuse for exposition as it leaps ahead to tie the issue in with Infinity and Inhumanity or whatever. It was jarring enough I went back to see if I missed an issue. Show don't tell folks.
Infinity has lost me as well. At this point I am only reading it for Carol and Jess, and could careless for the story. I feel like Hickman is assuming there is an emotional connect for the readers who haven't been reading his Avengers title instead of creating one? I don't know.
Battle for the Atom has got me and I don't know why. I'm not a fan of time shenanigans but I'm loving seeing the original X-Men being in character (and teenagers) dealing with what seems to be their future. I also like the possible futures that have been shown, President Allison BLaire for the win!
Agents of SHIELD was a good episode but it's still weird seeing Coulson with a range of emotions. From the movies, I so used to him being calm and in control that seeing him impassioned or worried is jarring.
Sleepy Hallow is still silly fun though I would have to say the characters are what make it rather than the plot.
And finally, I am loving the new season of Once Upon A Time and I am finding I am liking Hook! I'd loved his snark back in season 2 but had trouble liking him with how he treated Rumple preDark One.
