The unbearable lightness
Oct. 22nd, 2003 06:46 pm9:30am - Applied for jobs
12:30pm - Recieved a call for an interview for one of the jobs I had just applied for. creepy
3:45pm - Interview and Illustrator test.
4:58pm - Obcess about how I screwed the pooch on the simple Illustrator test. 15-20 minutes spent on something that should have taken me 5 minutes. Boggled by the new OS, system and Illustrator's. Confused by bleeds and masks. Interview went terrible.
5:30pm - Start to get on the fence about if I had screwed the pooch or not.
6:00pm - Finally realize; I did not screw the pooch and in fact did it all right and came up with different and more efficent ways to do what I did right.
The interview turned out great.
So, Yes I interviewed today! The job is in my field, pays well enough to cover both my student loans, a past Credit Card and, most importantly, cover the cost of Katie's child care. There may even be some left over.
I do have a bitter sweetness about it though. I won't get to spend as much time with Katie and she won't be able to take her Gymboree class with her friends anymore. On the upside, Kaite did seem facinated by the day care center near us and I got great vibes from the Assist Manager.
So Friday or Monday I should hear something.
