Thoughts for a future post
Dec. 5th, 2013 08:48 amI finished Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell and looking back upon it, I am glad for the time I gave it. I'm on the fence if I would reread it since it is such a massive canon but I am glad I read it. More thoughts later.
I'm a few hours into The Perks of Being a Wallflower and am somewhat shocked at the nostalgia I am feeling for the early 90s. If I had read this book then or in high school, it would have had a profound effect. I can't help seeing myself (as I was at that age) in Charlie.
Currently getting my Yule spirit on listening to A Dark Noël, a great compilation of mid90s Goth/Dark Wave bands covering Christmas songs. I think I'll add the HP Lovecraft Historical Society's A Very Scary Solstice to the cue.
